Dtc B141B, air bag light intermittingly comes on. This issue was reported 2X while under warranty but by the time I would drop at dealer for repairs the light would reset so they couldn't see issue. After warranty expired the light came on more often, and today they were able to see indicator and get dtc. Since it is out of warranty now, it will cost me $750 to get my air bags fixed. I questioned why it cant be fixed because it was reported 2X while under warranty. It is almost like they didnt try to find problem until after warranty expired. Now I don't have working airbags on an expensive Ford Explorer Sport. This is making me concerned if Ford has poor wiring harnesses because these vehicles have so many electronic components. Guess I'm sol. I will try to replace this sub par wiring myself tomorrow.

Check airbag light is constantly on my 2015 Ford Explorer. Took it in to get checked and the problem is faulty wiring to the middle row seat belt airbags. The fix isn't covered because my car is out of warranty and the fix is $800. Nothing related to the airbags should ever fail and if it does, should be covered regardless of warranty. There may not be a concern with having my rear seatbelt airbags not working, but because the light is always on, I have no way of knowing if there is a fault with my front airbags. When I asked the dealership if this impacted the front airbags, they couldn't confirm nor deny, they said they didn't know. Ford has known about this issues since 2015 when they first issued their technical service bulletin, tsb 15-0113 which was then superseded by tsb 16-0001 in 2016. I called Ford corporate customer service line and they refused to recognize this is a safety item that should be covered

Airbag light came on after the children got buckled into the second-row seat. Upon going to the dealership to find the problem, we were told that it will cost over $800 to repair the seatbelt airbag connections! searching online I found that there was a service bulletin that was issued back in 2015, but it does not seem that a recall has been issued. This seems like a problem that is being experienced by many vehicles and I wanted to point it out to be considered for a recall. Ford Explorer 2014-2016: Bulletin information involving vehicles equipped with second row inflatable seat belts may exhibit an airbag warning light illuminated with dtc B141B and B141C.

An airbag sensor light came on while car was stationary. Dealer said there is a wiring problem underneath rear seats, and was unsure if airbags would function properly due to the issue. Dealer was unsure what could have caused issue. This appears to be a safety issue, and a quick google search shows that other 2015 Ford Explorer owners are having similar issues.

On-going airbag warning light issue for 2 years (amber light on dashboard). The issue started in August, 2017 at about 38K miles and is still happening at about 55K miles. Ford dealership attempted to repair the same issue 7 times but the light is back on 8th time. Contacting manufacturer directly was useless as they just tell me to take the vehicle to dealership for repair and that no other option is available.

Airbag warning light stays on all of the time on 2015 Ford Explorer. Ford dealership in chesterfield, mo indicated the entire wiring harness had to be replaced at a cost of $1600. They had seen this problem before. Service person indicated that air bags may not deploy if in an accident when airbag warning light is on. Due to the fundamental safety issue with a hardware flaw (not wear and tear), I believe there should be a recall due to the risk to public safety.

Airbag sensor came on at about 66,000 miles. Disregarded for a while, as I was on a long trip. Went to dealer and they put on computer; diagnosis codes are dtc B141B and B141C. Dealer suggested to replace the airbag harness, with connectors replaced for $963.17, B/C warranty conveniently expired at 60,000 miles. This is a safety issue as none of the airbags in the car will deploy unless I pay Ford ransom for a part that has no moving parts. I see multiple people with same issue so there should be a recall.

The airbag wiring harness is faulty, causing no air bags. The part to repair has been on back order due to high demand. My vehicle has been without airbag system three weeks with another two weeks to wait for part to arrive.the problem begun being addressed in October 2018 and has continued. Part of wiring harness was replaced. Told it was good to go and two weeks later no airbags. Scary to have no airbags with children in car. Dealer said, but you still have seatbelts......

Airbag indicator light came on. Goes off intermittently but is on more than it is off. Took vehicle to dealership. They ran the codes and indicated it was a short in the wiring harness under both left and right passenger seats in the second row. The dealer indicated that without repair it was possible the entire airbag system would not function properly.

My airbag light use to come on and stay on for a few weeks. Not the airbag light stays on 24/7. the dealership won't look at it for free since SUV has 68,000 miles on it. It has been an issue for over two years. My 2015 isn't part of the recall but needs to be.

I own a 2015 Ford Explorer. While driving my airbag light is continuously on and from what I understand the airbags will not deploy. This causes me concern not only for my own safety but for my children's safety. My vehicle is currently with stivers Ford in waukee, ia, where it was diagnosed that the wiring harness for the second row driver side inflatable seat belt deployment control failed and needs to be replaced. I am replacing as I feel I need to for my families and I safety, but it is very expensive. It is not covered under warranty, but should be considered a recall because there is no wear and tear. There is faulty wiring. The approximate failure mileage of my car is 52,000.

I've recently noticed my airbag light on in my vehicle dashboard. I ran a scan tool but nothing is being picked up by the scanner. Not sure what I need to do next. I've only owned the vehicle for a few months now. Its used but doesnt look like its been in any accidents. I did just have my car cleaned at a car wash and they cleaned out the car. I wonder if they hit the wiring under the seats trying to clean the 3rd row seating area?
