Here we go again. This happened right after the fuel pump recall. The car is acting like I need to give it gas to start. It usually happens after it sits so naturally I was thinking battery. I checked the battery right after a 15 minute trip and again after it was sitting for 6 or more hours. Same ca and cca it also passed a load test. I hate to take it in to the dealer, but I am already going to the dealer to reconfirm the suspension issue which I believe is the upper strut bearing.

Explorer XLT 3.2L V6

  • Automatic transmission
  • 65,000 miles

For second time in 6 months, I have a repair bill on my 2013 Explorer. At 51,000 miles I had to replace the front strut bearings to the tune of $700. Today it is the fuel vapor management valve and storage canister to the tune of $387.14 (the vehicle was hard to start). One reason I bought a new car, for $40,000, was to eliminate problems like these. I cannot afford to spend $1,000 every 6 months to keep this car running and I am not the only one that has had these 2 problems with this model of vehicle. Ford should be ashamed of themselves for the poor quality of their vehicles. I will never, ever, buy another Ford.
