Car wouldn't start, there's fuel in it but I thought it was the starter that was the problem, cranking and wouldn't start.

Was told the leaking fuel pump was a known problem and under a recall. Could find no reference to a recall on any website, including Ford. Was told there are no replacement fuel pumps available, and as of today 12 Jun, my Explorer is still sitting in the dealers lot with no date of repair available.

Major gas fumes! Didn't realize right away even though I was spacey and practically falling asleep at the wheel due to overwhelming fumes. Very dangerous and scary drive getting to Ford service department! Never so aware of or afraid of cigarette smokers before. Upon arrival, fumes were very abundant! Service guy said, "Oh, it's the fuel pump, we've replaced about ten of these in '13 Explorers in the last few months". Ugh... this is my third Explorer in 18 years! You'd think, based on past experience, I'd know better than to have purchased another one! I'm pretty sure I'm in for another roller-coaster ride with this one! I'll keep you posted this time. :/
