We are happy to say that both the CarComplaints.com & the NHTSA data indicate no problems whatsoever with the 2010 Ford Explorer.
First noticed the noise coming from the right front at around 65,000 miles. Dealer confirmed a hub failure and quoted $843 plus tax to repair ($93.29 shop fee to diagnose). I purchased the part and replaced it myself. Our '98 AWD Astro has 270,000 on the original axles and hubs. The driver's side hub failed 20,000 miles later.
