After 8 days at the dealer having a new transmission pump installed ($1800) which I was told resolved the problem with the “wrench†on my dashboard. 4 days later, “wrench†back on. Taken to dealer next day and after 1 hour was told that I should bring the car back in 12 days and that they’d figure out the problem. I’d be provided a loaner car. I asked repeatedly if the vehicle was safe to drive and told yes. The next morning, while driving to work going 60MPH on a highway, the transmission blew (engine revving with foot on gas, but no response from engine.). I safely got it off the road. I had it towed to the dealer. Now told I need a new transmission and quoted $5100 less the $1800 paid, so $3300. Also getting a 3 year warranty with the new transmission. Very disappointed with Ford.
