At 60k miles the I noticed creaking from behind the dash when the AC or Heat was turned on. When the AC was on, it would blow cold through the drive vents and hot through the passenger vents. The same thing is reversed when the heat is on. This was a bad AC Evaporator, where the doors have deteriorated on the unit. 400$ part and 10 hours of labor. Outrageous and not too uncommon, apparently.
