CarComplaints.com Notes: How can we give the 2001 model year a "seal of pretty good" when it has some problems with a slipping transmission and a known problem with the speed activation control switch? Because it's not the 2002. That's how.

A warning alarm keep going off in the car each time it is started and about every half hour afterwards (if you keep driving). The alarm sounds like the same one that indicates an open door. It sounds 5 times, then stops for about 30 seconds, then sounds 5 time again. This repeats for about the first 2 minutes after starting the engine.
This stops and won't start again unless you restart the engine or continue to drive for another 30 minutes, then it goes through the same cycle again.
There are no other alarms or indicator lights.
Go figure!
