1999 Ford Explorer fuel line leaking.** answer required***. the fuel lines that extends over the valve cover and into the fuel injection system is leaking fuel. Consumer could smell the gas odor and pulled over to stop the vehicle immediately.
While driving down highway at approx 45mph switched lane to the right hand, and another vehicle came out from the consumer's right, swerved back over to another lane to avoid hitting consumer's vehicle. But, instead vehicle rear ended consumer's car. Neither airbag deployed. Also, inertia switch failed. Contacted dealer.
Consumer has received a recall for the brake lines in July of 99. The dealer was notified regarding the recall on July 16, 99, and scheduled an appontment for repairs. When consumer went to the dealership, he was informed that the parts were not available.
