Apparently #90 complaint is my dopple ganger. I've had the hatchback glass fall off in my mechanic's hand who had to yell out to his other guys since it's pressurized, to come over and help, otherwise it would have shattered. Same with the mechanical locks on the doors, which i had replaced for over 650.00 in October 2010. This incident, I have been just as blessed as I ran errands that day and just pulled into my driveway , putting my car in park, the lever did not break in my hand but park was instead between P and R. Honked like a madwoman, my brother came out, P R N D 2 1 were no longer the actual gears. Park was space between P and R neutral was gone, drive was now 2 and neutral was now drive. My brother worked for Ford and said it was a common problem, he'd seen daily continuous customers with the same problem. And said no, Ford hadn't bothered with a recall. He just couldn't stop laughing. While the shift possession is funny, the lack of obvious accountability, and responsibility and criminal action on the part of Ford on all of you is NOT. I missed hitting my 5 year old nephew. I am contacting 3 on your side and printing all these complaints. I am going to a mechanic I know and showing him these posts, contacting FMC to let them know I am having our news channel investigate and make this known to the public. And thanks you all below, I will contact Robert from sweden for the part, the NHTSA. This is unacceptable on the part of FORD. I cant thank you all enough on your info, as I am sadly a female that believes fairies are under the hood of my SUV and that's what makes it run. LOL...too bad I'm not capable of laughing at Ford's questionable ethics.
