Consumer states that theres a noise coming from the engine while driving, when the accelerator is pressed the noise stops, the vehicle was taken to the dealer who stated that the mass air flow sensor was the problem, 4X4 sensor is defective.

Vehicle will not idle without pressing accelerator pedal, engine will stall. Dealer said it was a faulty idle air valve.

Vehicle was making a siren noise. Dealer replaced idle air control valve under warranty. On 03-Aug-2000 consumer took the vehicle back because the problem reoccurred. Dealer stated in writing that it was something normal.

While driving noticed smoke coming from the exhaust system without prior warning the vehicle started to lose power. Took the vehicle for service, and the consumer had problems with the engine head gasket, the dealer replaced the engine, and there was a problem with the oxygen sensor. Vehicle has been in the shop for repair service eight times, and the dealer still can't determine the problem. Vehicle is back in the shop for repair service.
