Firestone tire unraveled. Any manufacture's defects known for possible sub? V1 traveling southbound. Rear left tire unraveled. Veh lost control and went into the swamp/marsh. (claim# 55-S237-485)
The original Firestone tires still on vehicle with over 40,000 miles on veh. The left rear tire blew out, the tire damaged the wheel well/qtr panel. (claim# 43-R498-159)
The tire was correctly inflated per Ford Motor Company manual. At approximately 65 miles an hour, the outer tread separated from the carcass on the left rear tire causing the vehicle to veer out of control. The driver was fortunate to regain control of the vehicle and pull of the road and then proceeded to change the tire. The tire has been saved. (dot number: P255-70R16 tiresize: 16 inch)
In middle of nowhere insured had a flat tire and tread separated and hit car and caused damage. Insured wants carest by sf to see if over deductible. Additional info per csr: C-spoke to ni, she saw something on the news re: Ford recall on her vehicle witht he factory Firestone tires, sent in crash inquiry, told ni to call the number she saw & file complaint with Ford also. Old calim reopened #1 was headed East on hwy 60. Vehicle was travelling at 60 mph, had cruise control on. It was very windy and she felt the back end of the vehicle swerve. She went in to the median of the highway and the vehicle rolled twice. (claim# 25-5379-991)
Firestone radial ATX P235/75R15 a Firestone tire came apart and damaged the body on the passengers side rear damaging the veh--P. Firestone radial ATX P235/75R15, ni no longer has the tire and has since rep all four($415.52), info taken off of the spare tire. (claim# 59-V543-930)
Firestone ATX 235/75R15 the insured was southbound on hwy 183 approx 1.4 miles South of luling in gonzales county. She heard a loud pop and her left rear tire lost tread. Her right rear wheel then came off the vehicle and she lost control and the Ford Explorer rolled several times. A passerby pulled her from the Explorer just prior to it catching fire. The vehicle was totally consumed in the ensuing fire. Explorer lost tread on left rear tire, it rolled, then caught fire, total burnconsuming the tires. Any similiar problesm with tread separation on explores? (claim# 53-C586-747)
Vehicle would vibrate at highway speeds (70mph). The first set of tires were original on vehicle. They were wearing out excessively near the edges. Brought new tires for vehicle after dealer, several times, recommended it. The outer part of tires were splitting & missing stablization. The 2nd set of tires had same problem of excessive wear. Firestone Wilderness AT P235/75R15 with 58,000 & 7,000 miles respectively.
Traveling 65mph; heard a noise; pulled over & noticed nothing wrong. Continued driving & noise was still there. Arrived home & parked. Checked tires again & noticed tread had peeled off right rear tire. A chunk of tire was missing. Been driving on the steel belt. Tires were still inflated. Took to tire retailer & had to change all 4 tires. Still have the spare. Tires came with vehicle. Firestone ATX radial P235/75R15 with 65,000 miles. Dot# vdnl1pm026.
Consume R was traveling about 50mph on highway and heard a noise. She was able to pull over to the shoulder, and noticed that the rght front tire tread separated. Tire is a Firestone.
