Im 17 years old n i just bought a 1996 Ford Explorer 4 $2,000 as ma first car...it wuzz running great 4 2months until i started noticeing that every time i passed 35mph n started tapping on the brakes to slow down it made a really loud noise so i would press on the accelerator again n slowly let go while slowly pressing on the brakes it helped with the noise problem but i knew it wasnt rite. one day my car stopped running it would turn on but i wudnt reverse or go forward at all...it turned out i blew the tranny n so my tio fixed it bt it only lasted lk 5 mnths then broke down again with the same problems :/....i dnt thnk i will ever buy another ford model at all
