Ford designed the Explorer so that you can't drop the oil pan off to clean it or replace the gasket. As such, the only way to fix this problem is to pull the engine out -- which is extremely expensive $1500+! At this point, I'm unable to keep my Explorer and will only get $200 for it at a junk yard. Very disappointed!
