Ford TSB #SSM 48860
2020 Ford Expedition
TSB Document:
Affected Component: EQUIPMENT:OTHER:OWNERS/SERVICE/OTHER MANUAL
- Summary
- Some 2020 Expedition/Navigator vehicles built on or before 14-Jan-2020 may exhibit a concern where the Auto-Stop-Start feature restarts the engine after 7 seconds at every stop, no matter how long the vehicle is at a stop. This may be due to the body control module (BCM) configuration. To correct this condition, run the BCM Configuration application using the appropriate Ford diagnostic scan tool. For claiming, use causal part 15604 and applicable labor operations in Section 10 of the Service Labor Time Standards (SLTS) Manual. For more information on the operation and condition requirements for the Auto Start Stop feature, refer to the Powertrain Control Emission Diagnosis (PC/ED) Manual, Section 1 > Powertrain Control Software
