2019 Expedition Platinum with 10,000 Km. Returned to vehicle in parking lot and used key fob as normal to unlock vehicle. Nothing, Side mirrors didn't auto fold-out and running boards did not deploy. But vehicle was not locked.. strange. Press Start button. Nothing. No dash / instrument lights, nothing. Checked battery, it was fine. Called for tow truck. Tow truck driver unable to release parking brake and unable to put vehicle in neutral. All electrical switches dead and no manual override. Used dollies to pull vehicle up onto tow truck. Towed to Dealership. Dealer had vehicle for a week, thought it was electrical connection problem between battery and vehicle. They gave up on that theory and now say it's the BCM, Body control module. Told it will take 3 months!!! to get one. Apparently Ford doesn't have them in parts inventory and has to get from manufacture. 3 months.... Brand new $85K vehicle... dead in the water... and Ford can't fix.
