The AC/HEAT fan in the rear is strong and the vents do not have enough friction to deal with it, so they slam shut if the fan is on high...poor design. Then the best part is, the plastic is so CHEAPLY MADE that the vents break and you have to stick a key or something long and skinny in them to direct air where you want it.
The initial vent replacements were covered under the 3 year 36k warranty. But within about a year the vents were broken AGAIN!!!! The vents in my 1995 BMW STILL have not broken... and not have the one in my 2006 Honda Pilot! Come on Ford!! Read your own Road & Track reviews... your vehicles are OVERPRICED for the CHEAP plastic you keep using on your interiors!! Road & Track and Car and Driver agree!
Add to that the cam phaser rattle issue just before my 60k warranty runs out and this is my FIRST and LAST Ford I will own!! I planned on an Explorer ST........HELL TO THE NO!!! FORD... Quality Is Job One... oh, wait... they no longer use that slogan for a reason!
