I took my Expedition for its 5,000 mile oil change at a local Ford dealer. Ford did not reveal any problems with the vehicle. At 10,000 miles, I took the vehicle to my normal mechanics at Kirkwood Auto. They changed the oil and noted all four struts are leaking. They provided pictures of the struts. I went back to the Ford dealer. They confirmed the struts are leaking. I advised I wanted them replaced. They advised there is a TSB advising they are aware of the problem and researching a fix, but for the mean time the issue is to be “monitoredâ€.
I don’t want the struts monitored, I want them replaced. I didn’t pay $60k for a new vehicle to have the struts leaking which could result in more issues for the vehicle. FIX THE DAMN THING!
