This squeak began shortly after the car was new. I asked the dealer to see if they could fix it. They kept telling me they could not hear it. After the fifth time returning to the dealer who sold the truck to me, I finally was able to get the service writer, service manager and the head mechanic for that dealership together. The car was running, the squeak was evident. The sound was undeniable.
The head mechanic after I had him put his head low on the right side of the engine, started to explain it was from the high pressure fuel pump and was normal. I remarked that Ford charges $84,000 for this platinum truck and squeaking is normal? It is not a trivial squeak. The conversation did not end well. The engine squeak is very real.
I read of one other customer complaint of the Ford Pick Up he has that does the same thing (squeak) and they can not figure it out. It sounds very much like a bad bearing in a belt tension pulley, but the head mechanic said that was definitely not it. If any one could help with a solution, suggestion, or approach to a better experience, I will be very grateful to you.
