Expedition with 3.5L ecoboost, went in to limp mode (in summer) while towing a camper (6500lbs), misfire on 3 different cylinders. Dealer Replaced three coils and all new spark plugs. Did not fix it. Still have misfire problems. Hole in intercooler did not fix it either. Neither has a catch can, unless I'm using the wrong catch can type.

Expedition Limited 3.5L V6

  • Automatic transmission
  • 30,421 miles

While driving for a family outing, we were heading out of town and car began losing power, jerking, the AC stopped working and the check engine light came on. We turned around and headed home and brought it into the dealership. It was determined that it was a second spark plug that had gone bad. Because it was the 2nd in short period of time, I asked for all of them to replaced. the dealership said they couldn't do that and to keep bringing it back if the car had more problems..... what was supposed to be a wonderful family day turning out to be a tremendous disappointment because of another faulty product...….

Expedition Limited 3.5L V6

  • Automatic transmission
  • 28,500 miles

While driving back to Arizona from San Diego, the car starting jerking, the check engine began to flash and it seemed to lose power. I made it home and took it to the dealership, it was determined a spark plug had gone and needed to be replaced. I am glad I was able to make it home with my children safely but a pretty scary experience.

This is very dangerous and there should be a recall - the web reports that this has been a problem for many years and many models
