Just a well know problem across the Ford line of vehicles with the electronic throttle body. I have a friend who just bought a '17 LTD, had hers replaced a few months ago right after purchase, not covered under lifetime warranty. My extended warranty was up 5K miles ago and I had taken the vehicle to service for inspection due to some sputtering and "missing" on acceleration prior to expiration of said warranty. There was no issue found and because the throttle body had not completely gone out, they even tried to charge me for the diagnostic even though the car was still under extended warranty. This is not a local dealership or service issue. This is a Ford Motor Company issue that they need to own up to and recall ALL of these vehicles.
