Probably Check Valve will fix this. Taking it in today, to leave overnight. We only have 1 vehicle, so this is very irritating, and leaves us without a vehicle. I will get a loaner from Dealer, which is 35 miles away. This problem puts a lot of strain on the starter and engine, so it is annoying. We have had a 1998 F150 that 1st issue was an alternator @ 180,000. Sold @ 210,000 to son's high school friend and saw his sister driving it 2 years later. Great truck.
Bought a beat up on outside and inside driver cloth seat was tore for our 2002 Explorer, which we got at 80,000 miles and was a gem. Still going at 220,000 miles. Then gave to son to drive, he LOVED that SUV. Then bought a 2003 F150, and it had over 210,000 miles and gave it to son. He drove it until 2016. Also, bought a 2012 Escape & had 1 little problem under factory warranty, and nothing after. Great SUV. In 3/2017, with 80,000 miles, an Impaired driver pulled out to cross highway I was driving on and totaled it and her little foreign car. She went to ER and I walked away from scene. Got a Chiropractor to check me out 2 weeks later. Made 1 adjustment and said that should do it. I'm fine and thankful for that Ford Escape & how it held up with that wreck.
In April 2017, bought this 2014 Ford Expedition, and have had 2 problems, since purchase. Maybe some would say this is petty, but we are used to getting high miles, before problems, so, not sure if will keep or trade after this. Have always loved our Fords and their reliability, but with only 1 car for us in Retirement, wondering if problems will continue.
