This data is from the NHTSA — the US gov't agency tasked with vehicle safety. Complaints are spread across multiple & redundant categories, & are not organized by problem.
So how do you find out what problems are occurring? For this NHTSA complaint data, the only way is to read through the comments below. Any duplicates or errors? It's not us.
When driving the 2010 Ford Expedition through virtually any puddle, as the water hits the front wheels it is thrown directly up onto the windshield of the SUV. I have owned many vehicles and they always are designed to push the water away/under the vehicle. This is a very serious issue as you loose all visibility every time you run through a puddle of water. Having the windshield wipers on high still takes 3-4 cycles to clear the amount of water that is dumped on the windshield. So you are driving blind until you exit the puddle/water along the side of the road (which can be quite a distance with heavy rains and water running down the sides of the road). Many people have complained to Ford and the response is how Ford handles all of the complaints about any of their vehicles....'no problem found. The vehicle is operating as designed.' Here lies the issue. It has a major design flaw that creates an extremely dangerous situation for anyone driving these vehicles in the rain. Ford should be forced to develop a design fix for this issue, and ordered to stop selling additional vehicles until this fix is rolled out. Ford is still the same company they were in the 80's and 90's....deny responsibility and hope people will just go away. Please investigate this before people are killed due to Ford's poor design of this vehicle. Ford won't have records complaints, because the dealers won't write a repair order for it since there is no fix. This is the same approach Ford is taking on the 6 speed transmission issues these vehicles have also.
