While driving approximately 45 mph my vehicle started to accelerate by itself. I would brake hard and the engine would rev high. I ran two stop signs. I tried to put it into neutral and I couldn't get it to go. I did not attempt to shut it off while driving. After about 2 miles I swung the vehicle into a vacant lot braked hard and turned the vehicle off. This took place on a two way city street.

I was driving down the highway coming to a red light and I left off the pedal and my vehicle kept going it would not slow down. The rpms finally came down and I was able to stop. Then I went home and put it in park and the rpms went up on its on. All the way up to 3K RPM. I had to put my foot under the pedal and pull up. This is very dangerous. I have already paid Ford $195 for them to clean throttle body and did not fix. Can't afford to take it back.

Pulling into the garage and the car spontaneously accelerated causing me to slam on brakes. This is the second time the car started accelerating spontaneously since I purchased it. The first time I was stopped at a stoplight with my foot on the brake when the car started revving and wanted to jump forward, if I hadn't through the car into park I would have hit the car in front of me.

While driving, the vehicle suddenly started to accelerate on its own. Slowed vehicle to a safe speed and RPM's jumped to 3000. Put vehicle in park and the RPM's remained at 3000 and the engine raced loudly. Took video of foot pedal, tachometer and under hood to record incident. This self acceleration happened in March at 99,000 miles and wife was nearly killed (ODI #10450449). The dealership could not find anything wrong. After vehicle is re-started vehicle appears to run fine.

Car was on cruise control and the accelerator was pressed to pass another car. The accelerator got stuck and the car kept accelerating. The brake was pressed and we tried to turn off cruise control and it would not stop accelerating. Finally, it made a popping sound and stopped accelerating. It happened multiple times on the interstate. It also happened when we got off on to highway and accelerated. The cruise control was not on and it just kept accelerating, the brake would not stop it. The accelerator was just stuck accelerating.
