While driving on dry pavement at approximately 25-35 mph the traction control light will start to illuminate randomly. Eventually staying on constantly. Pushing the traction control button will not turn off the light. Turning off the car and starting it again will make it go away. One time when this happened the ABS brakes engaged and the brakes had significantly reduced stopping power. I took it straight to the dealer and they did not see any error codes in the system.
The sliding car icon displays quite often, always on dry pavement. Usually for a short time during that time the brakes do not operate properly. They act as though the ABS have engaged themselves and make it almost impossible to stop. It has happened over 10 times to me in the 15 months that I have owned the truck. The dealer checked the problem and reported that there was nothing wrong.
