The contact owns a 2005 Ford Expedition. The contact stated that the air conditioning unit failed and emitted hot air from the vents when activated. The vehicle was taken to an independent mechanic several times where the blender door actuator, compressor, and control panel were replaced; however, the failure recurred. The mechanic stated that the failure could not be remedied. The manufacturer stated that there were no recalls for the vehicle. The contact was also advised that the failure could have been attributed to the control head that was located behind the control panel. The vehicle was not repaired. The VIN was unknown. The failure mileage was 118,000.
