Starts up but is dying for fuel, have to start up 2 or 3 times. Will not run when first started and the air blower on the air quits after about 30 min, can shut down for 5 min and it blows again

Ford uses separate computer to run fuel pump, this part was found to be faulty. The truck would start, but could not have accelerator depressed or it would stall. VERY STUPID TO PLACE A COMPUTER ON THE FRAME AND OPEN TO THE ELEMENTS(Minnesota salt and cold). I have a great mechanic and this is not found easily. Thanks Jim and Mike at Christy's. I still love my truck!

this vehicle twice cut out on us in the same day. Once while husband was going to work. since we live where its pretty rural and cell phone coverage is limited he was unable to use his cell phone to call for help. Fortunately a passerby stopped to help since husband was unable to restart the vehicle the passery gave him a ride home. Had vehicle towed back home since fuel pump is working had husband check the fuses and found the #12 fuse to be blown replaced the fuse and later that day I went to pick up the girls from cheerleading practice and the vehicle lost power and cut out. I walked to a home to call for help and had my brother in law come pick me up to go get the girls. We returned back to the vehicle and my brother in law changed the #12 fuse and told me to drive as he would follow me.

The vehicle is currently parked in the driveway and will have to be towed to be fixed its too dangerous to drive on hills and have it cut out. This seems to be an ongoing problem and I traded in my 02 windstar due to constant brake light issues only to go from bad to damn worse.

Update from Mar 31, 2011: vehicle was towed and repaired total cost $270 not completely horrendous. faulty part was located under the spare tire. dont remember what it was called but it was corroded which led to the part shorting out. otherwise satisfied it been running fine since

Husband was on his way to work when vehicle stalled. vehicle would not restart and we had it towed home. Since we live where its very rural and cell phone reception is hit or miss he was fortunate to get a ride home from a kind passerby and missed work for the day. Since we have no owners manual and it was bought used from a ford dealer we had to do reasearch online and found where the fuse was located and replaced it. It was the #12 fuse that was changed. Vehicle is running fine

Update from Nov 28, 2010: replaced the fuse and now has been stranded on the road when the vehicle stalled and replacing the fuse resulted in sparks from the fuse panel. vehicle towed to nearest ford dealer repair garage. waiting for it to be looked at and garage to call with repairs it needs
