Have I know Ford has problems but they have always been helpful. Not sure on this one though after reading all the hype on the 5.4 3 valve ticking noise. I purchase this with the higher mileage because I have 14 E 250's in my company fleet and have had great service out of all of them. however they are all 2 valve to my knowledge, with over 300,000 on over half of them I felt my expedition purchase with 190,000 miles would still give me another 100,000 or so miles before any major repairs. Well now I here the warm engine tick at idle. The expedition is a King Ranch in excellent condition, this motor thing just have me worried. My tick is faint at this time but I'd like to know how long to I have before something really bad happens. Do I get something done now or just wait for problem to get worst? Ford please advise be the motor company you have been for me and others in the past. If you have a problem please address it and lets go on down the road with the manufacture you have always been.
