As i'm in traffic waiting for a train to pass and looking at the smile on my 2 year olds face, I began to accelorate and the truck was dead. It would not restart(sounded like it was not getting gas). I then pushed it off to a nearby driveway as cars honked for me to move but no one bothered to help(arrg). i quickly called a tow truck to take to dealership. Once I got a prognosis from the dealership 14 hours later, they stated that my battery AND alternator was bad, for the grand total of $640.00. That's not all. The service guy from the dealship called later that day as I was at work to say that they believe my fuel pump might be bad, because they couldnt keep the truck running. I then ask,"so how much is a new fuel pump?" You guessed it, an additional $500.00. Get this, my american made truck does not have a replacement fuel pump anywhere in the United States due to the big 3 cut backs. Not to mention I have to have a rental car during all of this which will bend me over for an additional $250.+ I'm sure. Oh, did I mention that I just purchased this truck on 12/9/09 from Herrstein's in Chillicothe, Oh. I'll kepp you guys updated on what they are willing to do for me.
