very poor motor design. timing chain in front and back. Got to pull motor to fix. Sounds like chain tensioner is broke motor still runs good but wont for long because of chain slapping. Also had to replace all 4 wheel bearing in order to have a quite ride. Also panel above liftgate latch is broke in two places like almost all other explorers are. had to repair all four windows last week . Found broke wire in drivers door area. and cruise control would work sometimes and then sometimes not. Very disappointed in this vehicles endurance. My boy has a 2005 Silverado with 270,000 miles and still running strong and motor has never been worked on.
