This data is from the NHTSA — the US gov't agency tasked with vehicle safety. Complaints are spread across multiple & redundant categories, & are not organized by problem.
So how do you find out what problems are occurring? For this NHTSA complaint data, the only way is to read through the comments below. Any duplicates or errors? It's not us.
While driving at approximately 15 mph at a parking lot, the 4X4 light in the dashboard became on and all four wheels in the vehicle locked up. The vehicle would not move back or forward. No one was injured as no cars were behind me. After about 15 minutes of trying to move the vehicle back or forward and moving the 4X4 knob in the dashboard, I was able to unlock the wheels and drive homew with the vehicle. I have not driven the vehicle since then until I can get more information on whether there is a safety problem. I intend to call the dealership tomorrow to report the problem. I am concerned about driving the vehicle at a higher rate of speed because if the wheels locked up at a higher rate of speed it can cause an accident if someone happens to be driving behind.
