1) Bought New, all service done at Ford by FORD on time or earlier 2) prior to holiday drive had Ford perform 60K checkup/tuneup $767 3) about 500 miles later on drive from Washington State to California only got to Oregon (2hrs away) Oil Pressure disappeared to 0, then back on, then off Ticking heard Then GOT LOUDER Called mechanic diagnostic tool reports NO errors. He said sounds like lifter stuck, towed to MOCK Ford diagnostic - oil pressure at sump, zero at heads Ford Says REPLACE MOTOR Offered to sell me a new FORD $6100 later and 3 days I am back on the road. 5th ford, last three I bought new, NEVER BUY ANOTHER FORD My Service Dealership Manager at All Star Ford in Olympia, Wa told me on the phone when I called "Sometimes they are like a lightbulb and just burn out"! $33K lightbulb, and all service performed by FORD? and it burns out at 57K? Warranty is 5 years or 60,000 miles. I had the car for 8 years t this time! Ford said/did NOTHING just took my $$$ Oddity of all the services this was the first time FORD put 7qts of oil. (synthetic) in it. I like another person did complain about the car pining in the morning (cold) Ford said this was normal even though the car had NEVER done this the previous 3 years I had owned it. District Manager, Ford Quality even Call Jessie (supposed TV Consumer helper) won't do anything. Just say NO to owing a FORD P.S. Anyone want to buy my 1996 Mystic Cobra? 50kmiles. I am afraid it too will spontaneously blow the engine for no reason as FORD has serviced it too
