When the key is taken out of my ignition, the blower motor to the heat and air conditioning goes to full blast. I then have to disconnect the battery in order not to drain the battery. This only happens when it is raining out. Apparently the windshield leaks to the GEM box and shorts it out.
2000 Ford Expedition eb 5.4lt 4X4, speed control defect, when driving vehicle gets too hot, a lot of electrical defects like, signal lights, radio lights, mirrors, miles counter, won't work, I check every fuse and relays all ok, A/C problems etc.
The contact owns a 2000 Ford Expedition. The contact noticed smoke rising from under the hood of the vehicle. When he lifted the hood, flames were present. The vehicle was towed to the contact's residence. The vehicle was destroyed. Prior to the failure, the vehicle had been parked for two hours. The dealer referenced recall # 05V388000 (vehicle speed control), but the contact did not receive a recall notice. A police report was filed. The current and failure mileages were 83,000.
