Excessive effort has to be put on gas pedal in order to take off from a stop, which causes the vehicle to jump forward. Dealer has seen vehicle and said that it needed throttle linkage replaced.
While driving the throttle stuck, causing vehicle to increase in speed, resulting in a frontal accident, in which the driver's and passenger's side air bags did not deploy.
Driving 65mph; had on cruise control; sign read slow to 45mph; applied brakes; cruise control did not release; pressed harder; brakes started smoking; put into neutral & coasted to side of road; RPM high. Called dealer & was sent tow truck & told cruise control cable snapped.
