The rear lower trailing arms that hold the rear axle in place are made too thin and with corrosion will fail. This will cause the rear axle to move backward and break the drive shaft.
When making right hand turns vehicle intermittently acts like back is independent from front. When coming to a stop, vehicle bucks and drags. Dealer informed consumer that motor, rear sway bar link, forward drive shaft and speed sensor needed to be replaced.
When I get up to 50 mph, the vehicle starts to vibrate. I have had nothing but problems with the vehicle since I bought it. I took it to two different Ford dealerships and they could never find out what the problem was. By me spending thousands of dollars trying to get other things fixed which wasn't even the problem, I now find out that it is the transfer case, which is about $1300 just for the part. I will never buy a Ford again.
While driving vehicle started making noises, and driveshaft vibrated. Felt as if it was about to fall off when driving about 40 mph. Also, transfer case will need to be replaced.
Transmission would not shift up or down, repaired as per tsb 980920, then replaced.gear shifter would not release from park, re-started many times and eventuall able to shift.essentially over the course of 6 visits the entire component has been replaced and is now returned.front fenders were curled in, paint defects with rust spots and paint clumps.
