Left turn signal inoperative when turned on normally, if signal lever is held partially to the left before the detent to hold it in the left signal position, the signal will work. Found a NHTSA campaign describing this issue (11V352000) for my make and model and found out Ford has issued a recall (11C18) for the turn signal switch, it but I called Ford and they said my vehicle is not a part of the recall. I suspect the problem may be more widespread.
