The contact owns a 2005 Ford Excursion. The contact stated that the exhaust regulator was failing. This failure would cause a heavy white smoke to emit from the tail pipe and if the vehicle was driven for long periods of time, the head gasket would overheat and allow water and gasoline into the engine. The dealer inspected the vehicle and stated that the failure was a known problem on the vehicle. The vehicle was not repaired. The failure and current mileage was 163,000.
Vehicle was backing down the driveway and the motor started surging and blowing white smoke. I lost all power and slammed into my trailer. This is a known failure of the egr valve I have had it replaced and cleaned five times. The truck loose all braking power and steering power when the truck dies. They have had many known and documented issues in the ambulance industry.
