We purchased this 2004 Ford Excursion new in Feb of 2004. It has been lightly used primarily as a tow vehicle for our travel trailer. It started puking coolant out the degas bottle on our way home from Colorado at the end of our last trip. We had the truck to the dealer a couple of times while in warranty for this issue only to be told the problem could not be replicated. Now that we are well past the warranty an independent diesel shop was able to replicate the issue by putting the truck on a dyno and putting it under load. Were now being told that the truck needs several expensive parts. These include oil cooler, egr cooler, head gaskets, ARP studs, Turbo charger, FICM and alternator. Bear in mind were talking about a truck with 33000 original miles. We are talking about almost $10,000 for the total repair bill. These are clearly Ford design issues that customers are now paying for.
