The vehicle was taken to the dealer where the dealer confirmed that the door lock actuators failed. The contact also stated that while refueling, the fuel spilled to the ground. The vehicle was taken to the private mechanic to address the failure. The mechanic confirmed that the filler pipe was rusted and needed to be replaced.the manufacturer was not contacted and the vehicle was not repaired. The failure mileage was 100,000 and the current mileage was 176,167.
The contact owns a 2004 Ford Excursion. The contact stated that the entire vehicle is electronic. He stated that the speedometer does not work, the windows occasionally roll up and down, the door locks do not open, and the temperature gauge works intermittently. The vehicle was purchased used and the dealer stated that they cannot repair the failures. The VIN is not included in the recall. The NHTSA campaign id number was unknown. The failure mileage was 90,000.
