Vehicle experienced a problem with the front ball joints. This vehicle had 60,000 miles on it. Owner took the vehicle to the dealer for a check up on the brakes when it was discovered that the ball joints had worn out, and there was plenty of movement with in the wheel. Dealer replaced left front lower ball joint. And machined the front rotors.
While traveling on the road at about 45 mph consumer had to slam on the brakes, seat belt did not lock and driver hit the windshield. (second consumer for this letter: Christopher erosion walters) the tires blew out and the vehicle flipped over. The driver's seat belt problem remained the same.
Consumer complained of a brake problem. When applying the brakes vehicle pulled to the left gradually, and some times it would pull violently. Consumer took the vehicle back to the dealer, and dealer performed several different services, including changing the ABS module, but problem recurred.
While driving and upon pressing on the brakes, the vehicle pulled to the left. The vehicle was taken to the dealer for repairs and the problem became worse. The consumer got rid of the vehicle. However, he got another Excursion vehicle of the same year, but the new one was a four wheel drive. However, the problem with the brakes continued. Upon pressing on the brakes, the vehicle pulled to the left. The consumer was traveling and pressed the brakes and they locked up.
