A D V E R T I S E M E N T S
Ford created the tri-door system for the Excursion with a fatal flaw. IF you close the lift gate BEFORE either door, you WILL destroy the lift gate glass by mistakenly trying to close either rear door. THIS IS UNACCEPTABLE. I have NEVER owned a vehicle that you could destroy the lift gate glass simply by closing the system out of order. There has to be a way to prevent the glass from shattering if this occurs.
WARNING to all who haven't had this happen, it's really easy to get distracted once, close the lift gate first and then attempt to close the rear door,
