This problem with paint coming off in sheets is a disgrace to America. This country was made by Ford Americans. Wtf how can Ford Not stand behind obvious manufacture Defects. It's a screw you to Proud Americans. If I go to regular hand carwash another section of paint comes completely off in Sheets. A pressure washer forget it. It comes off clear to bare metal. Took it to the dealer they said its bad batch of primer that doesn't etch to the metal so paint won't stick. They told me to file a complaint with BBB. I couldn't believe my ears. I responded. Why do you think I'm here you sawed off ocean buoy looking TEXAS TICK. He called security instead of getting somebody to help. I'm sure they lost my file that I even came into EarnHart Ford In Arizona. I didn't have $50k to buy one new. Always wanted one. Ford please fix your sh*t and back this problem. That's taking care of an American proud of Ford my whole life, my Dad would roll over in his grave. Sorry Ford. Something I can't fix. Not normal wear and tear. Paint I've seen fade. But come off in sheets,Come on. The whole roofs down to metal the doors in sections. It doesn't discriminate, it's coming off like my truck has Automotive Cancer. Paint and Automotive specialist won't touch if if I pay them double. They said that has to be completely stripped to metal. Need blasted like custom cars style and It would cost that boat size rig between $5000 to $10,000 depending if we stripped interior to paint inside as well. Nice I said. Ford help me help you. First On Race Day. Lol No Paint included. Shouldn't happen in dry Arizona.

Our 2000 Ford Excursion is a $50K plus vehicle. We have babied it from the first day we bought it (about 6 years ago). We have always kept it waxed and well cared for. Recently I noticed that all the paint on the top along the channels of the luggage rack has peeled down to bare metal. There is obviously a problem with the paint/primer that was used for it to peel as cleanly as it did. Just as there was a problem in the 90's with the same issues. Since Ford had to pay out so much to correct there faulty work during the 90's they have now decided that paint is only guaranteed to stay on the vehicle for 3yrs/36000 miles. Other that that owners are out of luck. I guess as long as Ford says they are no longer responsible for shoddy products that makes it true.

WITH ONLY HAVING TO KEEP THE PAINT ON THE VEHICLE THREE YEARS THEY CAN START USING RATTLE CANS ON ALL NEW VEHICLES. ONCE THE THREE YEARS HAVE PASSED, THEN WHO CARES IF YOUR $50K VEHICLE LOOKS LIKE CRAP.............MAYBE YOU WILL BE AN IDIOT AND GO BUY ANOTHER FORD!
