I bought this car as a used lease car with 27,000 miles on it. The automatic transmission was serviced at 30,000 miles, 60,000 miles and by 73,000 miles it began to slip badly. The dealer said it failed all of the electrical diagnostic tests, failed the pressure tests and their recommendation was to replace it with a brand new Ford transmission.
My wife and I are in our 50's, have driven this car very gently, never missed any routine maintenance and yet the transmission fails so catastrophically that it must be entirely replaced. This is the last FORD product I hope to ever own.
