The rear coil springs were found broken (both), the front passenger's side coil spring broke when turning in the driveway and as a result, the front tire was punctured. There was a sag in the front end. The date of the first incident was 04/01/2002.
1995 Ford Escort station wagon - rear springs cracked and rusted through cracked areas. Replaced and no compensation by Ford for defects. Ford motor refused to offer any compensation for the defective rear springs.
Consumer heard a clunking sound, upon inspection he saw that coil springs had broken.. consumer states the rear coil spring broke on Dec-7-2000, and the front coil spring on March 25, 2002 which caused damage to a brand new tire.
