Search for «ford escape auxiliary shock mount» on Ebay or Amazon. A certain company makes a bracket kit precisely made to solve the problem all these people have with their rusted rear right wheel well, for 3000$ less than it would cost you to have your well panel replaced. It comes with all the needs including a solid steel bracket that you fix on your frame and the complete fiberglass gear to patch the hole from the previous mount (you don't have to replace the panel nor to do any welding) plus a protective asphalt can. Fitted nice on mine. Just installed it by myself following the installation instructions provided and it was indeed pretty easy. It took me half a day including the fiberglass patch drying. Tested it on off-road conditions, holds nice. Great deal! I am confident that this bracket will keep my Escape on the road for the rest of it's usable life.
