The emissions light came on, so we took the car into the shop to have them run the codes. We were told a temperature gauge was left "open" inside the engine. Because it was a hybrid, they couldn't touch it and we had to take it to the dealer for a quote. Ford quoted us $1000 to fix it. Luckily, it doesn't effect the running of the vehicle, so we opted not to fix it. Downside is that had we been in a state that required an inspection, it would not pass without the fix. Unfortunately, this was only the beginning of the $13,000 in repairs this car would ultimately need...
