While I'm grateful that Ford has been out front with hybrid and alternative fuel cars, the clarity and pro actions of their customer service dept is less than effective for the most part and yells "What a waste of good energy" for the sake of endless frustration with anything but a new car.
Their very polite customer service representatives are left to collect data and apologize for problems profusely. They have no ability to store the data they collect which is the first clue that there is no possible good use for the sake of assisting the process of more effective solutions to mechanical problems. They have no ability to look up or in anyway understand the codes that show up on computers that diagnose which is another way they are hamstrung from performing as a resource to consumers of Ford and others.
