Ford Escape 2005, purchased used at Milnes Ford in Lapeer, Mi.
It started as a clunking noise in the right rear of vehicle; I couldn't see anything, as the week went on it got louder and louder. By the end of the week I was afraid to drive, I finally looked above the rear tire and the whole area to my surprise was rusted out. I looked at the other side of vehicle and nothing. The whole right rear shock mount in the wheel well (right side) had completely rusted through. I was afraid to drive. I started googling and now to my surprise I am not alone. What is Ford going to do? The engines good, was driving fine until this. I want Ford to take care of this, are they waiting for people to get hurt? This is Very Serious!! Why isn't this a recall?
