Night driving safety risk due to no ambient lighting and unable to locate door controls, usb connection, heating controls, cup holder, while driving. Interior is in total darkness throughout night driving! If I need to find any connections I am unable and when I was driving I had to look away from traffic and avoided losing control of my vehicle!! Ford says this 2022 Escape doesn-??t have ambient lighting and because this is a safety risk, i am hoping this can be rectified.

During vehicle operation, on occasion, entire vehicle instrument panel goes dark and shuts off, which includes speedometer and warning lights. Cruise control deactivates and all displays and warning indicators de-luminate. System will turn back on and flash multiple error codes before returning to normal. Sync/navigation system will also go out.

The vehicle was taken to the dealer where they confirmed that the failure with the headlight assembly and order the replacement headlights. The contact had the driver-??s side headlight replaced; however, the failure persisted. The manufacturer was not notified of the failure. The vehicle was not repaired. The failure mileage was approximately 1,500.
