The driver side door started popping when opening and closing door. After a couple days it got stuck and wouldn-??t fully close. When I did fully close the door the check arm disconnected. The window will not move much since check arm broke. I have not had this inspected at a dealership but plan to. The only light that comes on is a door ajar light comes on occasionally and I have to shut door again.
I was just sent A report on the issues with the door of the 2021 Ford Escape. I live in Dallas Tx. I purchased my Ford Escape in 2021 and in the past month I have had so many issues until I don't know where to start. One is currently the door issue; I heard a pop then a knocking, then a grinding then the door would not close. I was told the bracket needs to be replaced and that I would have to pay for the repairs. Because of what is happening with the door I can't let my window down because it either goes back up slowly or will go down when I am pushing for it to go up, or it will not go back up at all. I've been fighting with the dealership they are saying I will have to pay for the repairs. I Filed a complaint with customer relations but was not given a claim number but was told they might or might not respond back.
Ford is not recalling their ford escape and broncos. I tired to get my state inspection done at two places for my 2021 ford escape and was told that they can not connect to the system due to faulty programs from ford. I was told to go to ford and they wanted ti charge me $199.99 to update the faulty software. They said it is a known problem and ford isn-??t/hasn-??t recalled it.
I bought my 2021 Ford Escape in June 2021 new. Shortly after I bought it, I started to hear a really loud screeching sound, very similar to a train coming to a screeching halt, whenever I reversed my car. I brought it into an Illinois ford dealership and they said nothing was wrong with it. Shortly thereafter, I received a notice in the mail about a warranty for the back brakes. Thinking that I solved my issue, I brought my car into a different dealership in Michigan and had them fix the brake pads. To my dismay and frustration, the brakes still made the terrible sound. I asked the folks why it was still making that sound and they said it was normal. A car backing up should never make that sound. Not only is it terrible sounding but it seems like a major safety concern. The Michigan dealership said that the brakes can make a squealing noise anytime their is condensation on the brake pads, mainly due to the fact that the brakes/brake pads have some sort of metal material in them. I decided to move up the food chain and call the corporate ford office but they couldn-??t help me either. Which brought me to filing a formal complaint and seeing what you all can do to help me out. There are several folks out their on the internet that are having the same loud squealing noise as me and are being told it is -??nothing wrong.-?? But a normal car SHOULD NOT BE making those sounds. Please let me know if you can assist.
I have called the place where I-??ve bought my car several times to see if they could get the recall fixed yet, they keep saying they do not currently have the parts yet but I have read where the parts should now be available. I have been waiting several months for this issue to be fixed.

My time time has almost caused me to pass various stop signs and red lights as well as rear end vehicles in front of me who stop abruptly due to increase traffic in my area for summer. The brakes also squeak terribly. I need this repaired ASAP before I cause an accident and Ford still has yet to provide the parts to complete the repairs and this is my only vehicle. I have had the vehicle less then a year
I was driving down the road and the car stated to stall. I noticed white smoke in my review mirror. I started to pull over and I got a warning message that said I had zero oil pressure and the engine shut down. I costed off the road into a pull off. When we got out of the car there was a fire in the engine compartment. As we were out in the middle of no where it took the local voulunteer fire depart 25 minutes to respond. In that time the car was a total loss. I did not hit anything in the road and I was drive around 60 mph at the time this started.
While driving PHEV with a nearly full charge and a full tank of gas in EV mode, when I came to a stop at stop signs and traffic lights, the car would buck once like a horse, like an engine misfiring, and would indicate drivetrain issue and oput itsself in accessory mode, and flash battery indicator light. I was unabble to shift or restart driving until about 3 minutes later and after multiple times turning the car off and back on. It kept asking if the car was currently being charged, it was not as I was about 10 minutes and 5 miles into my 75 min/ 50 mine journey. It seems odd that while driving in EV mode, electric motor only in use, that the car would buck/jerk while shutting off. This also happened nearly exactly 7 months ago.
* I Was about to park in my drive way on 6/7/2022 when the vehicle suddenly accelerated by itself, breaking my closed garage door, destroyed every garden equipment and everything else found on its passage in the garage and entered my granddaughter's bedroom causing MAJOR structural damages to the house. * my son had just left the garage and could have been run over and myself severely injured if ALL the equipment and the bedroom wall did not stop the car. * Unfortunately, the Dealership minimized the problem because they did not see the damages, only the superficial scratch of the car, it has been inspected by ALL parties, no warning signs of SENSORS warned this MAJOR accident at all that day. told FORD that I am scared to drive the car after that accident and they do not seem to care and claim it is a LEASE car and because they found nothing wrong with him. They cannot do anything about it. far, the first estimate from the Homeowners Insurance found damages that are over $35,000 - 40,000 dollars and are still sending other expects to check the structural damages of the house and that does not include the loss of the equipment and other goods destroyed. was told that they found nothing wrong with the car and I AM POSITIVE SOMETHING MAJOR HAPPENED THAT DAY that could have killed me, has it not been those equipment and also injured my 35 year old son and my 10 year granddaughter has she been in her closet.
When I back up my car makes a squealing/groaning noise. I was told my ford it has nothing to do with the brakes and it-??s safe to drive. Every time I back up it makes this noise whether when my foot is on or off the brake. It-??s very frustrating that there isn-??t apparently a fix for it.
We have a 2021 Ford Escape Hybrid purchased from Corwin Ford in Reno, NV. that when driven at high speed the front hood vibrates and the hood makes a very loud flutter sound. I have informed the salesperson Finn Orwig of this situation over the last 7-8 months. His service department tightened the hood rubber closing stops to no avail. I went online and plugged in 2021 Ford Escape hood noise and was directed to several online Ford forums where many others are stating the same issue. (See Reddit & Ford Escape hood troubles). I continued to contact Corwin Ford Customer Relationship Center of this issue and filed a complaint on October, 16, 2021. I never heard back until I reached back to them on February, 23,2022. Peyton gave me an address to send a letter. Dissatisfied that I could not speak to a representative who I could discuss issue with. So I then set up a meeting to drive with a rep from Corwin so they could witness the issue first hand. Before this meeting I sent a letter dated April 11, 22 to both Corwin Ford and Ford customer relations center. Then on Mon., April 25,22, President of Corwin took drive in vehicle and he agreed with issue but said he could do nothing that it-??s a Ford manufacturer issue(talk about customer service). Once again called Ford customer service who verified they received my letter and was assured I-??d get a return call back. I-??m concerned with such dynamic pressures that hood may fail and cause an accident besides the absurd noise. My next move is to take it to different dealership since still under warranty. I believe it-??s a aero dynamic manufacturer defect. Other owners have same issues. Hood is component. Besides noise & vibration hood failure is concern. Vibration & noise confirmed by Corwin Ford President Justin Russell. Corwin Ford looked at hood and JUST adjusted hood latch bumpers. I-??m planning a visit different Ford Dealership. No warning indicator. Issue started as soon S I purchased vehicle on first day. Help
The contact owns a 2021 Ford Escape. The contact stated that while reversing and pressing the brake pedal, there was a loud screeching sound coming from the rear brakes. The vehicle was taken to the local dealer who serviced the rear brake calipers and rotors but the failure continued to occur. The manufacturer was notified of the failure. The failure mileage was 1,500.
It was a four month old car. I was driving and the engine coolant light came on. I traveled an additional 1/4 of a mile and another driver pulled up next to me and said that my car was on fire. I pulled off to the side of the road, and within about a minute, the entire car was engulfed in flames. I was fortunate to get out of the vehicle uninjured, and I promptly notified the deal of what had happened.
While driving on the interstate a fire started under the hood and shortly after smoke entered the driver cabin. Luckily I was able to pull over and get out of the vehicle before the fire reached the driver cabin. It is going to be investigated by a company hired by AAA, the appraiser from the insurance company was not able to find a cause due to the fire damage being too bad. The first warning message was engine coolant overtemperature and a couple of others followed.
Stopped at a red light on 3 lane highway, in middle lane. When light turned green, I tried to accelerate as usual, but the car (hybrid) would not go. Message on dashboard was "STOP SAFELY NOW". Car was coasting about 5 MPH. I was able to get barely off the road. I could turn the car on/off but could not get out of park and continued to receive this message. This vehicle is new, purchased less than a month ago now has 140 miles. Had to be towed to dealership. SInce this occurred I have found a recall on a few other Escape Hybrids with the same issue. REcall 21S31. The diagnostics of the car indicate same situation occurred on 11/29 but must have self-corrected.
Stopped in the middle of three lanes at a red light, when light turned green car, which is a hybrid did not power back up. I could not accelerate. Message on dashboard was STOP NOW with red triangle symbol. I was on a State highway in heavy traffic. 55 mph speed limit. Going about 8 mph with flashers on I eventually got to right side of road. Car was then locked into park., would start but immediately received same message. Vehicle has 130 miles on it. Was towed to dealer.
