Some 2020 Escape 2.0L EcoBoost, front wheel drive (FWD) vehicles built on or before 20-Mar-2020 may exhibit an illuminated malfunction indicator lamp (MIL) with diagnostic trouble code (DTC) P00FE, P0456, P0455 and a fuel gauge that never indicates full after a refueling event (only reads approximately 90%). This may be due to the calibration in the powertrain control module (PCM) being configured for an L-tank instead of a saddle tank. To correct the condition, follow the Service Procedure to reprogram the PCM.
